Abstract

This study examines the impact of work experience, work environment, workload, training and development, and work-life balance on employee performance, with motivation as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach and explanatory research design, this study focuses on cleaning service employees at PT Berlin's Karya Abadi at Mimika District Hospital, Central Papua. A structured questionnaire survey was administered to all 48 employees, and data analysis was conducted using path analysis. The results reveal that work motivation significantly mediates the relationships between the work environment, work experience, training and development, work-life balance, and employee performance. However, workload did not show a significant direct or indirect impact on performance. This suggests that a motivating work environment, opportunities for training, and work-life balance are critical to improving employee performance, with motivation serving as the key driver. Findings emphasize the importance of fostering a supportive environment to enhance employee engagement and performance outcomes. The study concludes that organizations must strategically invest in motivational factors and work conditions to optimize employee effectiveness and organizational success
