The Effect Of Earning Per Share (Eps) And Dividend Payout Ratio (Dpr) On Share Prices At Pt Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk 2013-2023 Period

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Earning Per Share (EPS) and Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) on stock prices at PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk for the period 2014–2023, both partially and simultaneously. The research uses a quantitative approach, with data collected from the company's annual reports, including the Statement of Financial Position, Income Statement and Other Comprehensive Income, Statement of Changes in Equity, and stock price information. The analytical techniques employed in this study include descriptive analysis, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and the coefficient of determination test using SPSS Statistics 25. The results show that partially, Earning Per Share has a positive and significant effect on stock price, as evidenced by a T-value of 8.294 > T-table of 2.365 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Likewise, the Dividend Payout Ratio also has a positive and significant effect on stock price, with a T-value of 3.009 > T-table of 2.365 and a significance level of 0.020 < 0.05. Simultaneously, Eating Per Share and Dividend Payout Ratio have a positive and significant effect on stock price, indicated by an F-value of 38.603 > F-table of 4.74 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination shows a value of 0.893 or 89.3%, indicating that Earning Per Share and Dividend Payout Ratio contribute 89.3% to the variation in stock prices, while the remaining 10.7% is influenced by other variables.
